Beginning Monday, March 23 contractors will begin repairs on the main water supply line for the City of Friendswood. These repairs are estimated to take between two and five weeks to complete. During this time the City of Friendswood will have less water available than usual. On Monday, March 23 Stage 1 water restrictions are being implemented in the City of Friendswood until the repairs are complete. During Stage 1 water restrictions, the City asks residents for the following voluntary outdoor watering limitations: Street addresses ending in even numbers are asked to water only on even numbered days. Street addresses ending in odd numbers are asked to water only on odd numbered days. The City of Friendswood will continue to monitor water levels and water pressure as water line repairs continue. The city appreciates your patience and understanding during this watering limitation request. Cooperation with this voluntary watering program increases the chances that enough water is available to fight a fire, should one occur. If conditions worsen during the repair, additional measures may be forced to be taken.

On CULTIVATED properties where the distance between the growing crop and abutting property under different ownership or from a street right-of-way is less than 50 feet, a nuisance is not declared until grass and weeds grow to a height greater than nine inches. On UNCULTIVATED agricultural properties or tracts of land that contain no structures used or designed for human occupancy for residential or commercial purposes, a nuisance is not declared until grass and weeds grow to a height greater than 24 inches within 50 feet from any adjacent property under different ownership or from any street right-of-way.
