Likewise, Olde Rope Mill Park is an awesome place to take a stroll or ride your bike; in fact, the locals rave about the hiking and biking trails. It’s right along the river, and it’s the best place to fish or kayak. The park also has a covered picnic area. The Little River Trail within Olde Rope Mill Park is a good one for families with small children. it’s nice and easy, with plenty of nature and wildlife to see.
Another great place to take the kids is Berry Patch Farm. Go during the fall season, and pick some pumpkins and take the kids on a hayride. Go in July to pick farm-fresh blueberries; they have acres and acres of many different varieties, and they’re not sprayed with chemicals.
If you like monster trucks, then you’ll definitely like Dixie Speedway. It is the place for not only Monster Trucks, bu the Demolition Derby too! It’s pure Americana, complete with patriotic music. Bring your earplugs — the action can be quite loud.
Another thing to note is the Woodstock Memorial, comprised of 10 tons of stunning polished granite. The memorial is dedicated to the city’s military veterans.
Finally, there is The Outlet Shoppes at Atlanta. It’s a beautiful, outdoor mall with upscale outlet stores and a food court. You can find some really good bargains here on quality merchandise, and it’s just a nice place to spend the day and have a casual lunch.
