As I got older, my parents moved to Hawaii, where we maintained a property full of banana trees, orange trees, and fast-growing grass, which was a constant job. Later, I joined the operating engineers at 18, became a foreman and superintendent in the pipeline industry, and maintained and replaced damaged parkways, fields, and community centers. I always enjoyed this work, so I started my own small landscape and maintenance company. Now, I have been in the pipeline, heavy civil, and landscape industry for over 15 years. I love to see the joy on customers' faces when something they pay for with their hard-earned money is complete and they're happy with it.
