Better Living, Better Lawn Care in Westland
Like much of Michigan, Westland had its beginnings in the 1820s as a farming community. Among the first settlers were John Norris and his wife, Azubah Phelps. They settled here in 1826 to farm the land. Their son Philetus W. Norris started his life as an adventurer and fur trapper, but later became a politician, as well as the second superintendent of America’s first national park, Yellowstone Park.
