Better Lawn Care in Canton
Say “Canton” to the average American and the word that pops to mind is “football.”
That’s because on Sept. 17, 1920, Canton made the fateful decision to found the American Professional Football Association. It was later renamed the National Football League, and the rest is history. In fact, you can visit the exact location of this momentous event in U.S. history at the “Birth of the NFL” sculpture downtown.
While the city doesn’t have an NFL team of its own, there is no denying it's at the center of the American football universe. City officials formally proposed their city as the home of the NFL Hall of Fame in 1961, and the Pro Football Hall of Fame officially opened on Sept. 7, 1963. Today, the museum has five buildings with 118,000 square feet of football history, and more than 10 million people have visited since its opening.
Football isn’t the only thing to do in this city; Canton also has a rich history and varied nightlife.
President William McKinley conducted his famously low-key “front porch” campaign of 1896 from his two-story Canton home. McKinley’s museum, presidential library and gravesite, all at the edge of the West Branch of Nimishillen Creek, welcome visitors year-round.

The Arts District centered around Cleveland Avenue is always a fun place to spend the first Friday. The murals are amazing, and there is street food, live bands, and all kinds of vendors. The small, artsy shops are always filled with unique, amazing stuff. There is always something new to see.
If you need to get away from city life, Sippo Lake Park is the place to be. There are 300-acres of nature to explore.
