BidClips is a customer-centric, cloud-based platform built for home and field service businesses, including those in the pest control, lawn care, landscaping, gutter, and glass industries. The intuitive system comprises customer and sales management, lead capture, call booking, automated follow-up, and other tools to help your business succeed.
We demoed the software, talked to the experts, and looked into user reviews to provide information on the platform’s pricing, features, and user experience.
What we found: BidClips is a customizable business solution that helps you include your customers in your sales process. The platform grows with your business, automating and streamlining your daily workflow. However, we feel the lack of a mobile app would be a hindrance for many field service businesses.

BidClips Key Features
BidClips’ platform can optimize and organize your sales and customer management strategies. The software streamlines all communications, including internal and customer-related. You can easily monitor leads from quote to payment capture with the BidClips dashboard.
BidClips offers fewer integrations than many related software options. The platform’s integrations include QuickBooks, Twilio, and Mainstreet. There is no mobile application, and users say the web-based interface does not perform well on mobile devices.
The following features stood out during my demo:
Customer Relationship Management
BidClips’ built-in customer relationship management (CRM) software focuses on closing the gap between customers and communications with your business. The platform offers automatic follow-ups customized with your message and frequency to turn your leads into paying customers.
All customer communications are available under the client’s entry, so you always have access to their pictures, bids, estimates, invoices, history, notes, and more, all in one place.
Website Widget
BidClips rounds out its robust lead management system with a powerful widget for your website landing page. The widget allows customers to request a quote or inquire about your services online 24/7.
From the widget, customers can see the services you offer and other relevant information, such as pricing. You can also enable a live chat feature to link your customers and service team.
BidClips’ widget is user-friendly and creates a great touchpoint for your customers. The tool is highly customizable, so you can collect information to help you provide the most accurate quote possible without having to request additional information.
I noticed two things in particular about the widget:
- The widget comes with many options and field types to help you request the most information. For example, buttons to select the number of rooms, number entry forms for square footage, attachment options for photos or videos, free-text forms, and more.
- Because the widget is so customizable, it only works if you put the effort into building it. If you don’t set it up properly, you will need to request further information from your customers, slowing down your operations.
Sales Management
BidClips’ sales management software works in tandem with the platform’s strong customer focus, providing online payments, automated follow-ups, and customizable quotes and estimates. The platform emphasizes customer interactions while increasing sales.
The built-in booking software provides adaptable call scripts for your workers and sales agents. The intuitive platform speeds up sales calls with pre-built selections for capturing customer information while on calls. Additional sales features include:
- Customizable bid add-ons such as warranties and extra services that customers can accept or reject using the automated system
- Real-time, integrated platform to assign tasks and set reminders quickly
Payment Processing
BidClips integrates secure checkout with your business on both mobile and desktop browsers. The customer-friendly software works with QuickBooks to organize your accounting data. The platform offers secure payments through Authorize.net or IntelliPay.
Scheduling
BidClips’ intelligent software allows customers to schedule, cancel, and reschedule service appointments from your website. The platform manages your service schedules, preventing overbooking.
The scheduling tool allows multiple schedules to be created and viewed simultaneously. Below is an example of a mobile technician’s schedule alongside the corresponding in-house shop schedule for the week.
While demoing the software, I came across two standout features in the scheduling portion of BidClips’ platform:
- When sending bids to a customer, the platform allows you to customize lead time if you know you will need to order specific parts or products to complete a job. When the customer uses the automated service to accept the bid and schedule services, the system accounts for the customized lead time and will not allow the customer to schedule within that window.
- You can set service durations for specific jobs and tasks both onsite and in the field. When customers or technicians schedule services, the system automatically allocates the corresponding time on your schedule.
Reporting
Find out exactly where your business is performing best by breaking down your sales into specific services with BidClips. The platform offers complete sales records to help you view sales by employee, service, or department. Additionally, you can calculate the average costs of jobs and your converted bids percentage.
BidClips’ dashboard makes visualizing your sales and success easy. You always have access to visualizations of your closing ratios, daily sales numbers, metrics, and team reports.
BidClips Pricing
BidClips is tight-lipped about its pricing strategy. The sales representative mentioned the company aims to work with all sizes and types of businesses, so an exact price wouldn’t be available until the company offered a contract.
Tier | Monthly Cost | Monthly Cost With Annual Plan |
Starter | $74 per month | $49 per month |
Full Platform | Contact BidClips for Quote | Unavailable |
Starter Plan
BidClips offers a Starter tier with limited features. The Starter plan includes unlimited users, allowing you to communicate with your customers in real time with messaging and live chat via the BidClips widget for your website.
Unfortunately, that is about all the functionality the Starter plan offers. Access to scheduling, job management, online payments, automation, customer support, and more are only available through the full platform.
Add-Ons
For an additional monthly fee, you can add BidClips’ Call Center with the following features:
- Live call answering
- Live follow-ups
- Quote creation
BidClips User Reviews
Only good as a source for leads: “The software only works as a source for leads on our website. We cannot change or update a quote once we send it to the customer. My customers complain about the number of automated texts and emails they receive from us because of BidClips.” – Medina S. from g2
Hard to keep up with updates: “I love the automated follow-up feature. The follow-ups are pre-scheduled for my customers. I don’t love all the unnecessary UI updates the company continuously makes. I find it difficult to remain up-to-date with the software.” – Michelle S. from GetApp
Easy to use: “BidClips is easy to use. I love having all my customer information in one place. It makes gathering information and details easier when messaging with them in real-time.” – Caitlin O. from Capterra
Improves customer communication: “Messaging clients via the customer messaging tool has made it easier to request information and pictures. The previously created responses save a lot of time. I wish the picture quality from clients was better, but that is one minor inconvenience rather than an issue.” – Nick N. from g2
Great program, but wish it had a mobile app: “BidClips’ widget is a great tool to help our customers communicate with us. They can get in touch with us 24/7. I only wish there was a mobile application. The software doesn’t work well on my Android phone, so I have to lug around a tablet.” – Chris P. from Capterra
Pros and Cons of BidClips
BidClips makes closing sales faster and more manageable. Users love the customer support, website widget, and real-time communications capabilities. Most wish BidClips would offer a free trial of its popular platform and a mobile app for field use.

Our Verdict
BidClips is a sales management powerhouse helping home service businesses convert more qualified leads into sales. The integrated tools and widgets make customer communications more profitable, and the automated follow-ups save valuable time.
BidClips’ inability to provide transparent pricing or a free trial makes it hard to determine if the software is a good fit for many businesses. The lack of a mobile application may scare off many field service businesses, but the outstanding customer service team makes it easy to request a demo of the timesaving business software.
