Better Tree Care in Arlington
One of the fastest-growing cities in the nation, Arlington is also the 48th most populous city. It was founded in 1876 along the Texas and Pacific Railway and grew after industrialization began in the 1950s.
Today, Arlington is famous for its recreational and sports attractions. AT&T Stadium is the home field for the Dallas Cowboys, with seating for up to 80,000 fans. It houses the world's two longest arches, largest sliding glass doors, and the biggest HDTV video board. Globe Life Park is right next door; a beautiful ballpark that hosts the Texas Rangers. (Fun fact: Arlington Stadium, the previous venue of the Rangers, was where ballpark nachos were invented.) Between the two stadiums is the Entertainment District Art Trail, where some 40 sculptures are on display. They rotate the sculptures every three years so there is always something new to see.
The city has a deep history of museums. There is the Arlington Museum of Art and the International Bowling Museum. Arlington holds the title as the world headquarters for bowling, with the International Bowling Campus located here. This includes the United States Bowling Congress and the International Bowling Hall of Fame. The National Medal of Honor Museum is set to open in 2024.
There are a host of stores and restaurants around town for a night out. The Parks Mall at Arlington has more than 150 stores, an ice-skating rink, and a movie theater. If you're into golf, there are 14 different clubs, including some near downtown.
You'll also find great musical venues, including Levitt Pavilion Arlington that hosts 50 free concerts a year. A variety of notable musical acts have come out of the city, ranging from the reknown acapella group Pentatonix to the metal band Pantera.
