In 2017, the U.S. sent to landfills 35.18 million tons of yard waste. That’s the equivalent of dumping the largest cruise ship in the world, Symphony of the Seas, at the landfill —154 times!  

Fortunately, more and more of our yard waste is being recycled. So something that we once considered nothing but a nuisance is now, in many quarters, a windfall.
