AUSTIN, TX, February 20, 2018– LawnStarter, a marketplace via desktop or mobile app for homeowners and lawn care providers, released a newly designed interface for the LawnStarter for Providers app on February 6, 2018. The update includes a complete visual redesign that’s easier and faster, improved self-help features, and a smart service area feature to provide more efficient opportunities for lawn care providers.

LawnStarter’s Provider app update simplifies the overall provider experience by creating a design that is faster and easier to use. The complete redesign now matches the LawnStarter brand guidelines, uses native components, common mobile workflows, and is more handheld friendly to help speed up processes.

“It’s a really big step forward for usability and allows us, as a company, to roll new things out to our providers more rapidly,” said Jake Andersson, Head of Product at LawnStarter. “We care about the experience providers have working with us and believe this will help deepen our relationship with them.”

In addition to a more simplified look, the update also includes new self-help features and a smart service area feature to create more efficient opportunities. The self-help features, such as a quick list of common issues, make it easier for providers to report issues at the tips of their fingers, without ever having to contact LawnStarter’s support team.

Adding a smart service area feature creates a larger window of job opportunities for providers by matching them with the best service area based on their location and demand.

Since the release of the update, LawnStarter’s operations and support teams have received positive feedback from providers. The entire LawnStarter team is actively making updates to help providers succeed as much as possible, and are currently working on a feature that will give providers their stats and will provide feedback on how to optimize their business.

“At first I was skeptical about using LawnStarter”, says Ryan Smith, owner of Ryan’s Lawn Mowing in Austin, TX.  “But they made things so easy and profitable so I kept taking more and more jobs from them.  They are constantly creating brand new features to make things easier, and have helped me triple the size of my business in less than a year.  The new app is one of those features.”

LawnStarter for Providers allows lawn care providers to claim jobs, manage their schedules, and coordinate their crews. This app works in conjunction with LawnStarter’s web platform, which allows lawn care companies to claim extra clients on their already existing routes.

This app uses background geolocation tracking to provide location data that can be interacted with on LawnStarter’s web software. With this software, providers can track and manage their fleet of individual lawn care crews in real time to see the current status of job completions for a given day. Historical location data is also provided on our web software to help providers make informed decisions about coverage areas and assign jobs in an order that optimizes crews’ routes.
