Super Santa Ana Pest Control
Though Santa Ana is mostly known for being close to Los Angeles, the city has its own life and culture. Santa Ana is the county seat of Orange County and one of the most densely populated cities in the United States. It is home to about 333,000 people, many of whom have Latino roots. As a result, Latino cultures have influenced the city. In 1994, Miguel A. Pulido became Santa Ana's first Latino mayor. He holds the position to this day. Forbes chose Santa Ana as one of the safest cities of its size in the entire country in 2011.
William H. Spurgeon founded Santa Ana in 1869. For many years, the most important thing about the city was the railroad that ran through it. The California Central Railway, running from Los Angeles to San Diego, used Santa Ana as an intermediate station. The first automobile route from L.A. to Santa Ana was built in 1935 and called Firestone Boulevard. Today, that route is the Santa Ana Freeway. After World War II, many veterans moved their families to the area as a result of the Santa Ana Army Air Base, causing a significant population boom. In more recent years, the city has been building up its fine arts culture. The Santa Ana Artist's Village opened near Grand Central Art Center as a home for local artists. Close by, the historic Yost Theater reopened in 2009.
Today, Santa Ana has plenty of museums to entertain history and culture buffs. The Bowers Museum of Cultural Art features rotating and permanent art exhibits from across history. They focus on art from the indigenous people of North America and the Pacific. Santa Ana is also home to the Lyon Air Museum, where guests can see a fleet of operational World War II-era aircraft. The food scene in Santa Ana is as diverse as it is delicious. For over 10 years, Mil Jugos has served up authentic Venezuelan dishes in the city. The cozy Lola Gaspar has a menu of small tapas-style dishes that range from crispy chicken relleno to bacon-wrapped dates.
