Lawn mower racing is a grassroots motorsport that anyone \u2014 young or old, rich or poor, male or female, and everyone in between \u2014 can enjoy. In this sport, regular people race on souped-up lawn mowers at speeds up to 60 mph.<\/p>

Any lawn mower racing fanatic, whether a long-time spectator or one of the racers themselves, will tell you that you have to see it to believe it. Whatever picture you have in your head of lawn mower racing, the real thing will blow it out of the water (or grass). <\/p>

Lawn mower races take place every year all around the country, and even across the ocean in the U.K. They usually occur as part of fairs, festivals, or derbies, but there are also many organized racing series. <\/p>
