Aptive Environmental Highlights

Even though Aptive Environmental is smaller than other nationally known companies, they are making a name for themselves when it comes to customer satisfaction.

Eco-Friendly Treatments

Aptive Environmental prides itself on using a conscientious, eco-friendly treatment plan to keep homes, families, wildlife, and waterways safe. Aptive technicians use a natural pesticide called pyrethrin, naturally found in chrysanthemums. Pyrethrin breaks down quickly, so it doesn’t remain on lawns and in homes.

Gets to the Source of the Pest Problem

Aptive Environmental treats the common household pests like ants, cockroaches, spiders, garden bugs, and stinging and biting insects by attacking the bugs, cutting off food sources, and targeting nests. Aptive also will resolve your rodent problem.

Offers Retreatment

If any insects or rodents return, so will Aptive Environmental, at no cost to the customer. Aptive technicians will reservice your home or property between pest treatments if you have an infestation.

Dedicated to Charity

Aptive Environmental’s commitment to protecting the environment goes beyond its pest control practices. The company has been recognized for its charitable work, as well. Partnering with United to Beat Malaria, Aptive donated more than $1 million to the United Nations’ “Nothing But Nets” program to help protect over 400,000 people from malaria.

Winner of Prestigious Awards

Aptive also was awarded Best in Business for donating 5,000 trees to help rebuild Utah’s forests after wildfires destroyed them in 2020. This is a cause that hits close to home, as Aptive Environmental is based in Provo, Utah.

Aptive has won multiple prestigious national awards, including the 2021 Gold Best in Biz for its rapid growth, excellence in customer service, and award-winning workplace environment.

Aptive Environmental Lowlights

Being a smaller company, Aptive does not provide all the services big-name companies provide.

Limited Service Areas

Because the company is so new, it is limited in the number of states it serves and the types of pests it treats. It does not take care of bed bug, flies, mosquitoes, ticks, or carpenter ants. Aptive also only services homes, not businesses.

Limited Service Plans

Aptive also is limited with its pest control plans, not offering a one-time treatment or monthly options. Customers can sign up under a yearly contract where a service technician will treat your home quarterly under their Four Seasons Protection Plan, which will ensure year-round coverage.

Does Not Offer Additional Services

Also, unlike other companies, Aptive Environmental does not offer services beyond basic pest control, such as gutter guards, moisture control, attic insulation, and lawn treatments. Although Aptive thoroughly eradicates many pests, it’s important to note that its pest management does not include termite treatment.

Does Not Provide Instant Quotes

Another downside is Aptive Environmental does not provide instant quotes online. You must go to their website and fill out a form with your name, email, and phone number, and a salesperson will contact you.

Aptive Environmental Pricing

The average cost for basic yearly pest control for a 2,000-square-foot home is between $560-$620 per year. Aptive only offers a yearly contract, and there is a cancellation fee if you decide to cancel.

Aptive offers free customer quotes over the phone, but these are only estimates. To get more accurate pricing, a technician will have to provide an in-home inspection, which is not free.

How to Get an Instant Quote and Order Service Online

Aptive Environmental does not provide instant quotes online, but contacting the company for a quote is easy.

  1. Just go to Aptive Environmental.
  2. Click on the box that says, “Get a Quote.”
  1. Enter your information, and a sales representative will call you. You also can get a quote from Aptive by emailing cssupport@goaptive.com.

Customer Reviews:

They take care of the pest problem: I really like the service. I had bees making nests in the covered roof on my deck, and the service took care of my problem. On the service call today [service technician] asked if we were having any problems, and I mentioned seeing some ants at the bottom of my deck stairs. He not only sprayed that area, but all the surrounding area to make sure I wouldn’t have any further ant problems. I just checked the area and no more ants! Thanks [technician].– Karen G., BBB

Went above and beyond: Was referred to them by friends who already use them. Very professional service and took care of all our needs and problems. They use all-natural compounds, too. Service frequency when entering an agreement depends on the season (once every three months in winter and every two months in summer). Helped us get rid of pests, roaches, ants both in and around the property. Went above and beyond to take care of all our concerns. Only improvement I can think of is being able to schedule a service all online instead of calling them every time. – Phaneendra P., Yelp

Great service: Aptive is the best. From getting a text notification of their arrival, to the service, to the personal explanation of what was done, [technician] provided exceptional, professional service. Highly recommend!– Rosemary H., BBB

Buyers Guide to Choosing a Pest Control Company

How can you narrow down your choices when finding the best pest control company? Cost, services offered, location, and company size are all things to consider.

Your Location

Aptive is limited in the number of states it services. Even though they are growing, today they serve just over 3,700 cities in 30 states. If Aptive services your state, check to see if they cover your area

Pests Covered

Aptive only deals with common pests, and does not treat things like bed bugs or termites. It also does not handle wildlife that may be causing problems in your yard.

The first thing to consider when choosing a pest control company are the pests they treat. If you are dealing with scorpions, Aptive is not the company for you. Also, consider the scope of pests they treat around the country. For example,Texas  homeowners want fire ant protection but Oregon homeowners fear carpenter ants.

Eco-Friendly Options

You can get rid of pests but keep beneficial insects like bees and butterflies in your yard. Aptive is known for its commitment to environmentally friendly treatments that protect kids, pets, wildlife, and waterways, while ridding your home and yard of pest infestations.

Customer Testimonials

Look at the Aptive Environmental reviews and you will find most people praise the company’s great customer service. Most of the negative reviews are focused on their aggressive sales tactics.

Talk to people who have used a pest control company’s services – it’s the best way to determine if a pest control company is right for you. Check local customer reviews on sites like Google, Yelp, Nextdoor and the Better Business Bureau.

Cost

Aptive offers only one service plan. Their Four Season Protection Plan provides year-round coverage. To get an idea of cost, a 2,000-square-foot home under that plan runs between $560 to $620 per year. This is a little higher than some of the other national companies.

For the best value, look at what the company offers compared to its price. The cheapest company may not offer what you need, while the most expensive company may charge for more services than you require.
