LawnStarter Rolling Out First Ad Campaign

Austin, Texas-based LawnStarter is planting the seeds for its first ad campaign.

Ten billboards promoting LawnStarter soon will be popping up around Austin; LawnStarter is working with Reagan Outdoor Advertising on the billboard campaign. Meanwhile, radio spots for LawnStarter soon will be airing on four Austin radio stations: KUT, KUTX, KASE and KVET.

One of the LawnStarter billboards puts a twist on the famous red-lettered “I love you so much” graffiti mural on a wall at Jo’s Coffee in south Austin. LawnStarter’s billboard replaces the much-beloved mural phrase with “I love you so MULCH” then goes on to say “We ♥ Austin’s lawns at LawnStarter.com.”

“The ‘I love you so MULCH’ billboard is an affectionate nod to LawnStarter’s home base of Austin and all the quirky things we love about it, including the iconic ‘I love you so much’ mural,” says Ryan Farley, co-founder and chief operating officer of LawnStarter.

The in-house marketing team at LawnStarter produced the creative for the billboards and radio spots.

“The goal of this ad campaign is to let people in the Austin area know that LawnStarter is the best, smartest, most convenient way to find, schedule, pay for and manage lawn care services,” Farley says.

LawnStarter operates in Austin, Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston and San Antonio, Texas; Orlando and Jacksonville, Fla.; Charlotte, N.C.; and Washington, D.C.
