Fall Festival & Pumpkin Playground

What is it?

This year marks the 20th annual Fall Festival & Pumpkin Playground in beautiful Burke, VA. With the price of admission, you receive a small carvable patch pumpkin and hay rides. Other activities include a pumpkin fort, farm animals, slides, Cherokee storyteller, teepee, Western town and much more. Check out more information at their website:

LEGO KidsFest Virginia

Cost: $20-$22
Location: Richmond, VA
Date/Time: Friday from 4-8:30 p.m,

What is it?

According to their website, “LEGO KidsFest brings all of the creative hands-on, minds-on fun of LEGO building and experiences together in one activity- and entertainment-packed family event for children of all ages and builders of all skills and interests.” Tickets are sold out for Saturday and Sunday, but there is a limited availability of tickets left for Friday. If you want to bring your family to this, make sure you jump on it soon!

Chessie Jam

Location: Pier Six Pavilion, Baltimore, MD
Date/Time: 12 p.m. – 6 p.m.

What is it?
Chessie Jam is a children’s music festival that features singing and dancing and performances by Milkshake, Recess Monkey, Father Goose, Justin Roberts and Biz Markie from Yo Gabba Gabba. According to their website, the festival includes free face-painting (12:00pm – 2:00pm), an instrument petting zoo, a storybook village, a moon-bounce, a photo-booth, tie-dying, and many more fun and interactive activities for children. Maryland Renaissance Festival

Location: Crownsville Road, Annapolis, MD
Date/Time: 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.

What is it?
The Maryland Renaissance Festival recreates a 16th century English village, and it includes crafts, food, a jousting arena, musicians and dancers, 8 stages, and just general revelry. For kids, the festival offers free pony rides, games, archery, and a play area. Check out more information on their website.

Potomac Country House Tour & Festival

Cost: $30
Location: Saint Francis Episcopal Church, Potomac, MD.
Date/Time: 12 p.m. – 5 p.m

What is it?

The 58th annual event will include 25+ boutique vendors, food, silent auction, children-friendly activities and house tours from 1-4. This event is family friendly, and you can get tickets here:
