I felt a pit in my stomach and a heavy feeling in my heart as I saw the three lifeless bedbugs on my boxspring. It was a relief to have an explanation for the irritating rash that had formed a week before. I called them as soon as I saw a minor issue had the potential to escalate quickly. They did an outstanding job, and the issue has been completely fixed.

I am an active participant in the world of pest control. I love what I do and enjoy it more than most people imagine. One reason for this is that many aspects make up my profession that I find fascinating and a privilege.

I have had a great experience with pest control. I will never go back to my old way of handling pests. I had a terrible rat problem, and after I called, the company sent out an exterminator that solved my problem in no time.

When the weather started getting cold I noticed more rodents in my home. I immediately called your pest control company and although its freezing outside, my home is rodent free.

It's been three months since I called this company, and I've only seen one bug in the meantime. They definitely know what they're doing.

Better Pest Control in Alexandria

In 1669, Robert Howsing led 120 colonists to settle a 6,000-acre tract of land in Virginia that would later become the City of Alexandria. In those early days, the area primarily produced tobacco. As the years went on and the nation grew around the original 13 colonies, Alexandria became the site of several historical events. In 1755, General Edward Braddock organized his attack on Fort Duquesne, a French fort that would later become Pittsburgh, from the famous Carlyle House in Alexandria. George Washington chose Alexandria as part of the land ceded to the government to help form the original District of Columbia in 1791. Eventually, a movement developed to separate Alexandria from the District, and in 1870, the independent City of Alexandria came to be as it is today.

Now, Alexandria's long and storied past is commemorated by its many national landmarks and historic sites. The Robert Robinson Library, formerly a "separate but equal" library for black citizens in the segregated city in 1940, is now The Alexandria Black History Museum. Here, visitors can view rotating exhibitions on topics related to local and national black history. Carlyle House Historic Park, including the 18th-century mansion and its extensive gardens, is also open to the public. Every year, the park hosts the "Grandest Congress," a reenactment in honor of General Braddock's time in Alexandria. Other local landmarks for the history buff include the Old Town neighborhood full of colonial architecture, the Christ Church that George Washington himself attended, and the George Washington Masonic National Memorial.

Outside of historically significant sites, Alexandria's 140,000 residents can enjoy a vibrant art scene, nightlife, and shopping district. The Torpedo Factory Art Center, housed in a former World War II torpedo factory, features the largest collection of working artist studios accessible to the public. Guests can visit more than eighty artists in action as they create paintings, ceramics, jewelry, and other forms of art. Alexandria is also a destination for foodies, with dine-in historic restaurants like Virtue Feed & Grain, a tavern built in the 1800s, and Columbia Firehouse, located in the Columbia Steam Engine Fire Company building of the late 1800s. More modern leisure hot spots include cocktail lounges such as The Study, Magnolia's on King, and Captain Gregory's. Alexandria is also known for its diverse desserts, from the artisanal, world-class gelato at Old Town Dolci Gelati to Alexandria Cupcake's homemade cupcakes that come in experimental flavors. In addition to history buffs, artists, and food enthusiasts, fans of shopping will find themselves at home in Alexandria. The Old Town area boasts over 100 unique, independently owned boutiques with wares such as designer clothes, vintage home decor, and handmade art.

The discerning homeowner in Alexandria might find it hard to live in such a lively city when their own home is unlivable due to pest infestations. LawnStarter can help you find the best pest control technicians in your area to eradicate indoor and outdoor pests such as mosquitoes, termites, stink bugs, and rodents. With your mind free from pest stress, you can enjoy all the sights of Alexandria and your own home in peace.
